The Original Luxury Inn

We opened our "original" facility in 1996. CJOH TV called it "700 square feet of kitty heaven!" Designed in the Cape Cod style, it has individual outside grassed runs, Italian tile floors, lots of big bright windows, cathedral ceiling and even a cozy fireplace. Situated on over twenty acres of secluded, idyllic countryside, and overlooking a large duck marsh, it is truly a paradise for cats.

With lots of large windows, and abundant lighting, the interior of our "Inn" is bright and inviting. The trim, doors and cabinets are natural solid oak, ash and cherry. Add the warmth of the fireplace, and you have an ambience that any cat could spend "nine lives" in.

Cat's Meow guests are of all ages, from kittens to elderly cats. Each cat is unique in its needs and personality. We respond to these needs in a variety of ways, to make our guests relaxed, content and "at home".

We have many perennial gardens on our property, including three around our original inn. We just added a beautiful day lily garden with over thirty shades, from peach and yellow to deep burgundy.

We let cats out individually or as families, two or three times a day. We note where they like to stay most, whether beside the fireplace, or on a window sill, and give them space to just hang out. Cats love the access to the outside so much, that they spend the majority of the day outside.

The architecture and amenities of The Cat's Meow rival those of better inns for humans. We even have a state of the art air filtration system that refreshes and cleans the air several times an hour.

The Cat's Meow is a haven even in the winter months. The wood fire makes the inn cozy and warm, and we actually do sit in the rocker with any cats that just want a comfy lap to curl up on.
